Meet Mrs. Wilson I am a homegrown Nebraska girl! I grew up in a loving home where our faith was the essence of our being in Lincoln, NE. I am the youngest of 4 girls; God bless my father! After attending Catholic grade school and Pius X High School, I went on to UNL to receive a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Human Development and the Family with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. The basement of my childhood home was turned into a makeshift classroom; chalkboard, school desks, students (my dolls and my niece when willing) and school supplies given to me by my elementary teachers. I continue to keep abreast of education by taking master coursework and professional development opportunities. I have 15 years of teaching experience all within the Lincoln and Omaha dioceses. I look forward to returning to "my home base"; that being St. Columbkille and joining Mrs. Wildman as a part of the 5th grade team!
The Wilson Family For it is in Catholic faith and my family which I count as my greatest of all blessings! Ever since I was a little girl, I knew that when I grew up, I wanted to be a mother. My wonderful husband is a proud business owner and avid golfer. He coaches the girls’ golf team at Gross. Go Cougars! Our lovely oldest daughter, Jessica just completed her first year as a high school teacher as well as her Master's degree. She is a math teacher at Omaha North and loves every aspect of her teaching vocation. She will become a "Mrs." in June of 2019. Our precious son, Nicholas was called home by God and welcomed into Heaven on the first of August 2016; forever in our hearts with us each breath and every step. Our theatrical son, Nathan attends St. John’s University in Queens, NY. Although, taking a "sabbatical" this school year to make a pilgrimage walking the El Camino de Santiago in Spain; possibly taking time to visit where Harry Potter become a "reality"! Our “little”ones, Dylan and Sarah will be a Senior and Sophomore at Gross Catholic respectively. Both of which have followed their father in the game of golf. Dylan is currently discerning life after high school and Sarah the prospect of having your first job (Runza, of course) and driving. My time outside of family and school is spent in daily mass and eucharistic adoration to continue to foster my relationship with the Lord, at Orange Theory for my physical well- being, quilting and reading. Oh, and course spending time with my amazing 94 year old mother, Mary, aka Mimi, the matriarch of our family!
